Fox Hollow Low Impact Development
James Island, SC
In 2012 we worked with New Leaf Builders to create Fox Hollow, an infill neighborhood on James Island. Designated the “2013 Best New Community” by the Charleston Homebuilders Association, Fox Hollow was the first of its kind in the Charleston area. This neighborhood offered 9 unique, custom-design bungalows that match the prevailing architecture of this portion of James Island. Our design ensured that all stormwater was managed by a system of constructed stormwater wetlands that blend in with the adjacent natural wetlands. We also practiced ecological design principles by preserving trees, minimizing earthwork, and keeping natural drainage patterns. Fox Hollow has been featured in multiple articles by the Post & Courier and by SC Public Radio.
